Two suffer injuries following multi-vehicle crash in Texas

It is rare for someone to be prepared for a car accident. Car accidents are almost always unexpected, catching victims off-guard and surprising them with sudden trauma. Anecdotal evidence seems to suggest that many accidents occur in familiar locations -- the neighborhood in which a person lives, the road a person takes to work every morning, etc. While on a routine, rather mundane drive, a person's life can be suddenly changed when the actions of a negligent driver lead to a devastating car crash.

A female driver's vehicle was rear-ended recently in what must have been an unexpected chain-reaction crash in Texas. The woman was stopped at a traffic light on a Tuesday afternoon when another vehicle suddenly slammed into the rear of her Ford sedan. As a result, the two vehicles then went crashing into the rear of a truck tractor with no trailer.

Both drivers in the initial two vehicles were sent to the hospital following the multi-vehicle wreck. They suffered minor injuries. Investigation into the cause of the crash was ongoing, but police suspected alcohol may have been involved. They took a blood sample of the first female driver who rear-ended the Ford sedan to test for intoxication.

If another driver involved in a car accident is found to have been intoxicated at the time of the crash, there is a good chance they may be found liable for the damages. In such cases, victims often must make decisions that are informed by legal expertise so that they might better their chances at obtaining maximum compensation. Compensation may not erase the trauma that so often results from an unexpected car accident, but it can sometimes help to alleviate the financial burdens associated with medical expenses and other accident costs.
