Texas man on motorcycle dies in collision with passenger car

Motorcyclists are at an immediate safety disadvantage. Every vehicle other than the motorcycle is larger which, according to physics, does not bode well for the motorcyclist or passengers. People ride motorcycles because they enjoy it and because it allows a sense of freedom that cannot be replicated with other types of vehicles. However, a motorcyclist on Texas roads recently passed away as a result of the injuries he suffered when he was involved in a motorcycle accident with a passenger vehicle.

According to reports, the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on US Highway 183 when a Kia traveling northbound turned left from the center turn lane. The driver of the Kia then struck the motorcyclist, who died due to his injuries. The victim was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The details of the crash are currently under investigation. The authorities are interested in exactly what caused the accident to happen. They are investigating factors such as speed, weather conditions, visibility at the time of the accident and any negligence on part of either party. These are common factors that are examined in most deadly car accidents. If the driver of the Kia is found to be responsible, she could face charges for negligence, wrongful death or even vehicular homicide.

A full investigation will determine how the family of the deceased will proceed. Most motorcyclists are aware of the odds they are up against on the road today. However, it doesn't make a death any easier for anyone.
