Fatal car crash claims life of high school student changing tire

Texas roadways are, unfortunately, a frequent location for fatal accidents. With auto accidents, it is important to those who were affected to have a grasp on how a full investigation can be conducted to determine how and why it happened, if they are seeking to move forward with a legal filing.

According to recent reports, a high school student was victimized in a fatal car crash when he was changing a flat tire on his vehicle. The 17-year-old had stopped on the freeway while he had his vehicle up on a jack when the back of his car was hit by an alleged drunk driver. The accident occurred at approximately 4:45 p.m. According to law enforcement, the young man and his brother were going to a truck show when the flat tire occurred. They were finishing changing the tire when the accident happened. The young man was declared dead at the scene. The 32-year-old alleged drunk driver was taken to the hospital and released. He faces numerous charges, including intoxicated manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance.

When there is a wrongful death incident, there are numerous issues that the family members and loved ones left behind must consider. It might have been a person who was a breadwinner in the household who died. It could have been a beloved relative, a young person just beginning life or a stay-at-home parent. No matter who it was, there will be financial, practical and emotional factors that have to be taken into account. These accidents are especially egregious when they're due to a possible DUI or other form of negligence.

In this accident, a high school student was heading for an afternoon of entertainment with his brother when the fatal car crash took his life as he changed a flat tire. While the circumstances of this incident might appear to be clear, there still needs to be a full investigation with the interests of the young man's family in mind.
